Girl Talk Incorporated is an empowerment and mentor organization designed to meet the growing needs of the female youth in Indianapolis, IN The Girl Talk Incorporated 8-week empowerment program provides an environment where girls can talk freely about issues that relate to their everyday world. Girl Talk Incorporated will offer tools and resources to help empower girls to become their best self, and be successful in their personal and future professional lives. Girl Talk Inc. provides a safe, fun, and judgement free atmosphere. Girl Talk 7 week curriculum: Consist of conflict resolution, social media etiquette, developing your brand, owning your body (women’s health, birth control, healthy relationships, ect), college prep, career & business mentorship (application & resume completion w/ mock interviews), and finance (budgeting and how to manage a checkbook & importance of investing, ect). This 8-weeks we'll also be introducing new sub-topics in our program outline such as Beauty Enhancements, Age Appropriate Clothing, Using SM to get that Bag, ect. Girl Talk Book Club and Business Internships in the community. Graduation Ceremony takes place on the 8th week, same time same place. Participants: Girls ages 10-18 years old. Girls will be separated according to age and topic conversation. Girl Talk Inc program dates: Every Saturday starting January 15th – March 5th, 2022 Girl Talk Incorporated 8-week program fee: $25.00, covers lunch and program supplies for 8 weeks. VERY IMPORTANT: Participants have to complete 6 out of the 7 sessions (8th class is graduation) to receive a certificate of completion and a Girl Talk gift bag. NO EXCEPTIONS! Also all parents must fill out a parental consent form for participating girls. Once registration is purchase I will email you a parental consent form to be filled out in its entirety. Please add on the form if your child has any food allergies. ALL PARENTAL CONSENT FORMS MUST BE FILLED OUT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND TURNED IN BY PROGRAM START DATE. IF PARENTAL CONSENT FORM IS NOT RECEIVED BY START DATE REGARDLESS IF REGISTRATION FEE IS PAID, THEY MAY NOT ATTEND. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Minimum age requirement for Girl Talk participants is 10 years old, but if your child will turn 10 within 3 months of the program starting, then an exception will be made. Through a staff of volunteers and advisors we facilitate weekly meetings in a judgement free atmosphere designed to address various topics and offer tools that can assist the girls in dealing with the day to day challenges that they face. When girls participate in the Girl Talk empowerment program, our objective is that when they complete our program  they know and believe they can achieve whatever they dream of and can handle any obstacles that come their way.
