LOST CAT PLEASE HELP

Hello I work downtown and last Sunday (12/12) I found a very friendly calico, who unfortunately was not chipped and had no collar. This cat is way too chunky and friendly to be a stray, and the human society and austin animal center have been no help. I am in college and cannot keep this cat as my roommate is allergic, please help.
