Tampa Man Accused Of Shooting At Skyway Park

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting at Skyway Park Dec. 11. At 11:23 p.m. Dec. 11, police were called to the park at 3901 George Road for a fight and possible shooting. When police arrived, they found a bullet casing and blood but no victim. Witnesses said the shooting victim entered a vehicle and was taken to a nearby hospital where police caught up with him. During their investigation, officers said they identified Michael E. Allen, 37, of 4106 N 15th Ave., Tampa, as the shooter and issued a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and felon in possession of a firearm.
