SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury will host a flu shot vaccine clinic Thursday, the second of two events this week.
Thursday's clinic will take place at the Senior Center, 40 Fairbank Road, from 9 a.m. to noon. As of Wednesday evening, there were still dozens of appointments available. Residents need to book appointments before arriving.
Sudbury hosted a combined flu shot and COVID-19 booster clinic on Tuesday. The Thursday clinic will only feature flu shots.
Although coronavirus is of the greatest concern with cases on the rise locally, flu season is fully underway. Flu activity is "low" right now in Massachusetts according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But cases have been rising since flu season began in October. Flu shots typically take about two weeks to be fully effective.
