NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was hospitalized after being shot Monday night in New Haven, according to police.
Police received a Shotspotter alert and 911 calls around 7:35 p.m. regarding gunfire on Grand Avenue, between Hamilton Street and Wallace Street. Officers found a 28-year-old New Haven resident who had been shot, according to police.
The victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
The New Haven Police Major Crimes Unit and Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
