With the holidays officially here, I love starting off the evening reconnecting with friends and family over a good cocktail. So while everyone starts to pull out their go to beverage, you can get heads turning with these fantastic clean holiday cocktails! Nora Tobin, performance enhancement and executive coach, nutrition specialist and CEO of Nora's Naturals coffee, shares with us her 3 favorite holiday clean cocktail recipes. #1: Cranberry SaucedBenefit: Immune strengthening cranberries contain high levels of vitamin C and phytonutrientsto fight free radicals and lower inflammation.Ingredients:● 2 oz vodka● 1/2 cup club soda● 1/4 cup cranberries● 1/2 cup unsweetened cranberry juice● Splash of orange juice● 1 tbsp orange zest● 2 tbsp honeyCombine all ingredients with 1/2 cup of ice in a shaker. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into afun glass. Add the whole cranberries from the shaker (option to soak in vodka ahead of time).Option to add additional orange zest to the top. #2: Beauty BubblesBenefit: Beauty boosting pomegranates contain B6, potassium and polyphenols essential forcellular turnover- brightening skin and strengthening hair.Ingredients: (Similar setup to Cranberry Sauced)● 2 oz vodka● 1/2 cup club soda● 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds● 1/2 cup fresh lemon squeezed● Splash of pomegranate juice● 1 tbsp lemon zest● 2 tbsp honeyCombine all ingredients with 1/2 cup of ice in a shaker. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into achampagne glass. Add the pomegranate seeds from the shaker (option to soak in vodka aheadof time). Option to add additional lemon zest to the top. #3: Vacay ReadyBenefit: Fat burning fiber in the blood oranges slows down blood sugar spike and regulatesDigestion.Ingredients: (One large batch)● 2 bottles of cabernet or pinot noir● 2 cups sliced strawberries● 2 cups apple juice● 4 cloves● 2 cinnamon sticks● 1 lemon cut into wedges● 1 limeCombine all ingredients in a pitcher. Let the mixture sit in the refrigerator overnight to let theflavors seep into the wine.
