ARLINGTON, MA — Adam Chapdelaine's name has again come up for a role in another community, but the town manager says he is "committed to Arlington." A Herald News report mentioned Chapdelaine as a possible candidate for the open city administrator role in Fall River. The mayor in that city said he has "been in talks" with Chapdelaine to fill the job he previously held before coming to Arlington. But Chapdelaine told Patch partner YourArlington the vacancy was nothing more than a segue during a conversation about American Rescue Plan Act spending. "While I'm flattered by the consideration, I'm committed to Arlington and have no plans to leave," he wrote in a statement to YourArlington. Chapdelaine was selected as the next town administrator in Natick over the summer but withdrew from contract negotiations, saying the job "may not have been the fit that it appeared to be following my several interviews with the town."
