Description

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Apple Store in the Westfield Annapolis mall will temporarily close while the retailer battles an internal coronavirus spike, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. The technology manufacturer also paused operations at shops in Miami and Ottawa. Journalist Mark Gurman wrote that every employee at the affected locations will take a COVID-19 test before the stores reopen. Apple on Tuesday reinstated its mask mandate at all of its U.S. retailers. The company will also limit the number of customers allowed in its shops. "We regularly monitor conditions and we will adjust our health measures to support the well-being of customers and employees," Apple said in a statement, according to Bloomberg. "We remain committed to a comprehensive approach for our teams that combines regular testing with daily health checks, employee and customer masking, deep cleaning and paid sick leave."
