SET THE COURSE The courier position is primarily responsible for the preparation, transportation and delivery of shipments between Tommy Bahama and 3rd party vendor’s local facilities around Puget Sound in a manner that exemplifies the Tommy Bahama brand values. Locations include, but are not limited to: Superior Embroidery, TB Seattle, TB U-Village, TB Federal Way, TB Tulalip Outlet, TB Bellevue Square, Auburn Post Office and FedEx Ground facility in Auburn. The courier is also cross-trained in all areas of shipping, Ecom and other areas as needed to support other business needs when not fulfilling courier or shipping responsibilities. BE THE ISLAND GUIDE - Early Schedule. 7am - 3:30 pm -Operate company vehicle according to applicable motor vehicle regulations, company policy and auto insurance guidelines -Follow accident procedures and observe traffic laws -Assemble and load necessary materials and organize daily route in a time-efficient manner -Ensure quality service is provided at each customer interaction by providing efficient and professional delivery service -Transport merchandise, mail, samples, etc., between Tommy Bahama WA locations, including, but not limited to: -Picking-up supplies -Transporting packages and letters to the post office -Transporting embroidery to and from Superior Embroidery -Fulfilling retail store box/supply requests in addition to re-stocking DC supplies. -Ensure proper maintenance of company vehicle by: -Returning truck to DC and refueling at end of day -Regularly servicing and cleaning the vehicle -Daily examination of vehicle, including checking the fluids -Reporting defects, accidents or moving violations to supervisor -Maintain work-appropriate dress, grooming, and personal hygiene -Ensure proper use of company cell phone according to company guidelines and not while operating vehicle -Cross train in shipping and Ecommerce to support the business as needed. -Unload shipping line based upon specified criteria and accurately move product to specified shipping lane while meeting minimum production standard. -Accurately and efficiently produce shipping labels and affix to correct carton / package. -Accurately verify BOL’s and research any discrepancies while meeting shipping schedules. -Train on and perform Label Print and Apply (LPA) procedures, including the printing of packing lists, accurate placement of non-standard labels, an understanding of customer requirements to ensure full compliance and proper maintenance of equipment, such as re-loading tape and label applicators. -Assist loading shipments onto trucks according to customer requirements. -Perform Other duties as required that may be necessary to support the business. ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE High School Diploma / GED Must have clean driving record. This includes no moving violations, DUI's or accidents within the last 5 years Basic computer skills Must have a minimum of 10 years driving experience Knowledge of Puget Sound area and map reading Must have valid Washington State driver's license Yearly review of driving/criminal record for infractions Able to operate equipment as well as hand trucks and pallet jacks according to safety guidelines Good communication and organizational skills Detail oriented, ability to multi-task Able to complete assigned stops and routes in a limited time frame Ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on multiple requests and deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
