We have an entry-level position available for a person with interest in woodworking to build the shipping crates for our doors. If you have beginning woodshop experience, and you want to work with your hands and learn a solid trade in a strong team environment, this is the perfect job for you. Ultimately, you’ll help us send out the beautiful, high-quality doors that we proudly offer to architects and designers across the country. From our 16,000 square foot facility, we handcraft and ship beautiful interior and exterior barn doors and sliding door hardware throughout the United States and Canada. We work with pure wood materials; no composite/resin or plastic materials. This Shipping Carpenter position would require handling the following duties: Build wood crates for shipment of our doors Check for accuracy of each shipment Inspect shipped products for quality control Coordinate with sales and shop personnel Ideal qualifications for this position include: Able to work as a member of your team Reliable and timely attendance Able to show initiative and problem solve Ability to take direction from supervisors and coworkers Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, as well as bend and kneel frequently. Manual dexterity with hand tools Preferable is some familiarity with standard hand tools and wood-shop tools such as nail guns, table saw, staple guns, chop saw, etc. This is a full time position (Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-2:00pm). Part time work is also available. Compensation is dependent on experience with benefits after 60 days. We have a full benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision.
