WILSONVILLE, OR — The Oregon Army National Guard wants to make it easier for residents of Clackamas County to enlist. They're opening a new recruiting station at Wilsonville's Town Center.
"We are proud to be part of our communities across Oregon and again here in Wilsonville," Col. Sharel L. Pond, Commander of the Oregon Army National Guard Recruiting Command, says.
The Guard will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new storefront at 8929 SW Wilsonville Rad, Suite 1.
National Guard members who recently demobilized, marking the end of a nearly two-year assignment helping Oregon hospitals battle COVID-19 will be at the hour-long ceremony that starts at 7:30 a.m..
Mayor Julie Fitzgerald and Chamber of Commerce chair Jaimy Beltran will also be there.
