Press release from the City Of Davis: December 14, 2021 6:49 pm Several City offices will be closed or have altered hours during the winter holidays. The following offices will be closed starting Friday, December 24, 2021, through Sunday, January 2, 2022 with a reopen date of Monday, January 3. City Hall (City Manager's Office, Parks & Community Services, Finance, Community Development & Sustainability, and Public Works permit counter) Parks & Community Services Corporation Yard, 1818 Fifth Street Fire Business Office, 530 Fifth Street Public Works Utilities and Operations, 1717 Fifth Street Public Works Engineering and Transportation, 1717 Fifth Street Senior Center, 646 A Street, will be closed from December 24 through January 2. Meals on Wheels will provide services on December 27, 29, and 30. Veterans Memorial Center (Closed with the exception of private rentals) Davis Community Transit will continue to operate regular service hours. Parks and Public Works emergency services will continue uninterrupted. For emergencies or issues that cannot wait until the next business day, such as a downed tree, sewer backup, water leak, or water quality issue, please call the Davis Police Dispatch non-emergency line at 530-747-5400 and press 0 to speak with the dispatch operator. The Police Department's front counter/business office will be closed on Friday, December 24, and Friday, December 31, 2021. Regular counter hours of Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. apply. Normal business hours that include Monday – Thursday and every other Friday will resume on January 3, 2022. Public safety operations and response will continue 24/7 unaffected. If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1 or the Police Department's emergency line at 530-758-3600. Please use 530-747-5400 for non-emergencies. Utility bill and parking citation payments may be dropped at the designated drop box in the parking lot of City Hall. If you require assistance, email [email protected] or call the Finance Department at 530-757-5651 and leave a message. Messages will be answered promptly after the holidays. If you need to deliver a legal filing, please deliver to the Police Department at 2600 Fifth Street. Public Records Act requests can be submitted online at: https://www.cityofdavis.org/city-hall/transparency-portal. Public Records Act requests will be reviewed and responded to within 10 days of when City Hall reopens on January 3. All City offices will resume normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) Monday, January 3, 2022. Recology Davis will be closed on Saturday, December 25, and Saturday, January1, and will not provide collection services on those days. If you are a Saturday customer and your service falls on these two holidays, your collection will be moved to the next day (Sunday, December 26, and Sunday, January 2).
