Two pit mix dogs

Any friends in the Thornton/Northglenn area looking for missing dogs? Or know of someone who is? We found 2 that look like American bulldog/pit mixes. We we able to get leashes on them and took them to get checked for chips- they're not. We've been driving around our neighborhood checking for open gates and if anyone is out looking, no luck so far. Posted in the Nextdoor app and Thornton/Northglenn resale pages too. I'd hate to have to relinquish them to animal control or a shelter- I'm afraid they'd be put on a euth list. They're friendly and well behaved. Help me find their owner? No pictures because it would give away the only way their true family could identify them. We know they belong with eachother as they are VERY attached, and one is very protective and concerned over the other.
