Village of Bolingbrook, Will Co. Partner For COVID Booster Clinic

BOLINGBROOK, IL — With more than 69 percent of Will County residents at least partially vaccinated against the coronavirus, the Village of Bolingbrook is offering a booster clinic that will provide both the Pfizer and Moderna booster shots. The clinic will be offered on Dec. 22 at the Bolingbrook Community Center through a partnership with the Will County Health Department. Appointments are required for the clinic, which will run from 12-6 p.m. and will be located at 201 Canterbury Lane, officials said. In addition to the booster shots, first doses of the vaccines will be available for kids ages 5-11. Village officials said that the reasoning for the booster clinic is to help keep students and others safe during a holiday season when many people are expected to be traveling. To qualify the booster, residents must have proof of vaccination with a second dose being at least six months ago prior to the appointment. Those seeking the booster must also be 16 years of age for both the Pfizer and Moderna shots. Appointments are available while vaccine doses remain.
