  Job Summary Responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of HVAC systems. Responsibilities Inspects buildings, fixtures, machines and other structural and/or mechanical units, noting need for repair, performs minor and preventative maintenancePerforms complex maintenance work including detection and correction of HVAC systemsAssists other technicians on emergency and corrective maintenanceWorking on active systems, energized and de-energized equipment in compliance with NFP and Board of Regents (BOR) safety standardsTroubleshoots and repairs EPA refrigerant class I, II and class III equipmentComplies with EPA refrigerant protocolMaintains a clean and safe work environmentAccurately maintains equipment inventory and historical records   Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Other Required Qualifications Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license EPA certification in class l, ll and lll type equipment or ability to obtain EPA universal refrigerant certification within six (6) months of hire date Required Experience Two (2) or more years of related experience Preferred Qualifications Additional Preferred Qualifications ICC HVAC Inspectors Certification (Active) ICC HVAC Plans Examiner Certification (Active) HVAC Warm Air License Unrestricted State of Georgia (Active) Equal Employment Opportunity Kennesaw State University is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
