This is due to the fact that an additional $3-million of American Rescue Plan funds were added to the program to be spent over the next four years. (utv44.com) Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine has shared his expanded strategic plan that addresses crime in the city. Chief Prine says part one crime in the city is down 16 percent overall, compared to this time last year. Homicides are up 6 percent from this time last year, assaults are up 10 percent from this time last year. to try and combat crime in the city.
