Hello, I have a cover band and cover duo. I've booked over 950 gigs. Clients include major corporations (like Anthem Blue Cross, Harley-Davidson and Live Nation, to name a few), Armed Forces (Navy, National Guard, Coast Guard), municipalities and production & promotion companies. I book many private residential events, too, and the occasional wedding. (Generally, and for many years, I stay away from bar gigs.) Back in Sept, I played L.A. Memorial Coliseum, Fan Fest; three weeks ago I played Rose Bowl, Fan Zone. I've played several gigs since then including a gig last Saturday night; I have a gig this Sunday and I have gigs booked in 2022. If you're interested, skilled, responsible and available, I have PAYING GIGS for you. This year, the AVERAGE gig has paid $300, though I've paid players up to $850 per gig. (There is no upper limit. Gigs don't pay less than $200.) From a player, I need ALL (not some) of the following: 1) an acoustic guitarist that... 2)...has looping skills (you have a digital looper- and you are ALREADY experienced / adept at looping). 3) You must understand what it means to create a guitar arrangement: Using a looping device, you can take a full-production, "original studio recording" and create a "reduced arrangement" incorporating looping to make it full (layering chords and/or riffs and/or bass lines- whatever works, whatever is cool). And... 4) You need to have eclectic taste- a wide appreciation of popular songs and genres spanning the last 6 decades. 5) You must have a fine voice for harmonies (you sing in tune, you have a high voice and you can hear / "pick out" harmony vocal lines from recordings). 6) You must be a fast learner. (You may make and use charts.) 7) It goes without saying that you must be a reliable communicator (emails, texts, phone calls) and, generally, responsible/professional. If you can do this and want to, you must first show to me what you can do: Send me links, recordings and/or videos demonstrating your PLAYING, LOOPING, SINGING AND ARRANGEMENT SKILLS. If you appear to be suited for this "gig," I'll send you two "audition" songs for you to work up. Regarding the pandemic, many venues and clients are asking for vaccination documentation.
