Prior experience in a trade such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping etc. is needed for this position. Must be available for snow and ice removal as needed. In addition: • Complete work orders and job assignments in a timely and professional manner. • Interact appropriately and politely with all staff and client. • Offer suggestions on how best to maintain buildings and homes. • Identify and repair all potential safety, maintenance or citation issues. • Keep appropriate records and receipts. • Manage projects or agency events as assigned. • Must be willing to perform all aspects of work in the Maintenance Dept. on an “as needed” basis (mop calls, landscaping, painting, cleaning, etc.). We require: • Skills in one of the following trades: Carpenter, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting and/or Landscaping. • Valid NYS driver’s license required 18+ months and approved to drive DDI vehicles. • Lift and carry minimum of 30lbs. • Ability to stand on minimum 6 ft. ladder. • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Must be available for occasional evening/night/weekend projects as assigned. • On call 24-7 for all agency emergencies. Must be available for snow and ice removal. • Must be flexible to stay late, or come in early or work weekends for projects or agency events as assigned.
