Hello. I am posting today to request assistance with my utility bill of $531.38. I have a shut off date for this Friday Dec, 17th 2021. I have tried to get the date extended because my daughter has asthma and must be able to use her nebulizer. They sent paperwork to take to her pediatrician but she won't see her because we don't have insurance right now. I requested insurance through the marketplace but was denied insurance for the kids because due to my income, they're eligible for CHIP. However, I have applied for CHIP 3 times this year and have been denied. I am a LVN who has been working as an agency nurse, assisting staff challenged facilities across Houston throughout the pandemic. Normally, I would be able to pay my bills on time but I missed the deadline to be fully vaccinated. Most of the facilities I would work for are now mandated by law to have all staff vaccinated. My agency said we had to have at least one vaccine by 12/5, which I did but the facilities actually wanted us to have both by 12/5. Due to this miscommunication between the companies, I have been unable to work. I am not considered fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after my second dose which is scheduled for 12/31. I'm afraid my children will come home from school Friday with no heat or lights. I have exhausted all other options.
