Description
Deliver the basics plus magic, with power, rhythm and an accurate range, along with the ability to keep those elements in sync.
You have to be able to hit rapid intervals without straining or losing your timing, stay on key and keep the rhythm going and get the lyrics and everything else moving in the right direction and working for the song. Otherwise, you wouldn't be a good fit.
Amateur level won't work here and you need to have a natural born set of musician's ears and natural born musical aptitude.
Both of those attributes exist in only 2% of all musicians according to a music college (aided by neuroscientists) that did a study; the scientists were involved because musicians are favored subjects in research of multi-sensory convergence--how different areas of the brain interact to perform functions and tasks.
Here are two examples of singers with reliable power, range and accuracy who are doing everything right.

Even a raw punk vibe would work if you can hit intervals and stay on key.

If you are at the skill and creativity levels in the examples above, please respond.
If you are not at the skill and creativity levels in the examples above, please don't respond.
You don't need a four octave range. But you should have the basics down and know how to get something working even when you don't know what to do at first. That is where the creativity processes + musician's ears + musical aptitude + intuition + influences enter the picture.
