Sanitation Worker (Janitorial Duties) Seafood Wholesale/Production Facility Salary - $12.00 per Hour Schedule – Full time 40hrs per week. Temp to Perm 4:00 A.M to 12:30 P.M Job brief We are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc) o Office Area o Bathroom o Meat, Produce and Cheese processing areas • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects o Use the high- pressure hoses to clean and rinse the machine and parts, squeegee the floors and clear the floor drains. • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs • Make adjustments and minor repairs • Dry tools, equipment, machines, walls, floors and re-assemble machinery as required. • Stock and maintain supply rooms • Cooperate with the rest of the staff • Follow all health and safety regulations Requirements • Proven working experience as a janitor • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets • Integrity and ability to work independently • Function as a team member and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company • High school degree
