BuildyourCNC is currently seeking a candidate that will be responsible for assisting with the daily production and fulfillment of orders in our home shop. This is an entry-level position with an opportunity for advancement. The ideal candidate will be mechanically-inclined or have an interest or knowledge in electronics/mechanical systems BuildYourCNC is a manufacturer and retailer of CNC Machining equipment, Laser engravers, motion control electronics, and CNC Machine Kits for the hobbyist, cottage industry, artists, and light industrial companies. BuildYourCNC has been in business for 12 years and is located in Wesley Chapel, FL. Job Overview Title: Shop Assistant - Production As a shop assistant, you will be on your feet most of the day working in a small shop. Must have basic computer knowledge, specifically Windows operating systems. You will learn how to run a CNC machine and cut parts for order fulfillment. You will also operate power tools such as a lathe, sander, mill, band saw, and other machines for production. This position will also include some other duties from time to time such as assisting with shipping and electronics production. You may also eventually be trained to answer phone calls and provide technical support to customers by phone and email. The candidate may also be called upon to assist with shipping. Primary Responsibilities • Learn how to operate production machines (We will train you). • Testing and inspection, to ensure parts and assemblies meet specifications and standards. • Must be good at putting things together. You will be assembling machines with hundreds of small parts. • Perform other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications • Completion of High School • Experience in electronic and mechanical assemblies is helpful. • Ability to read and follow instructions for assembling machines. • Must be able to operate a PC • Positive, can-do attitude. • Strong worth ethic, self-driven. • Must be dependable and punctual. • Bilingual is a plus (Fluent in Spanish and English) • Non-Smoker Company name: BuildyourCNC Job Type: Full or part-time Location: Wesley Chapel, FL Work schedule 9:00 am -- 5:00 pm Monday - Friday - This is flexible. Salary: Based on experience: Most entry-level employees will start at $13.50 hourly with a pay increase to $15 hourly after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
