Learn the basics of woodworking in a safe, encouraging environment. Open to all levels, including complete beginners! Join Factory 3 instructor Ric Day and learn how to use a jointer, planer, table saw, miter saw, drill press, and band saw with precision and safe handling techniques. In this 4-hour class you will gain hands-on experience with each of our woodshop machines as Ric guides you through the process of turning a raw piece of lumber into a retail grade "cut board." To keep everyone safe, Factory 3 requires masks to be worn and proper social distancing to maintained at all times during the class. He has have made tables, desks, Windsor chairs, and utilitarian items such as bowls, spoons and cutting boards. In his classes he hopes the participant finds a passion, fun and creativity to continue their woodworking journey. His studies include classes with Phil Lowe, Allan Breed and many other talented woodworkers in Maine and New Hampshire.
