An authentic shopping exhibition, honoring the cultural impact and history of the neighborhood staples in underrepresented communities. Join us Saturday, Dec. 18th 2-5pm for The Numbz Bodega Grand Opening. The Portland Art Museum's AUX/MUTE Gallery, in partnership with The Numberz FM, brings you The Numz Bodega. An authentic shopping exhibition, honoring the cultural impact and history of the neighborhood staples in underrepresented communities across the country. The mission is to highlight visual artists through the design of the shop itself, creating a unique retail experience that will be a home to products from local emerging artists. The Bodega will include works from Zero8one5, The Nine Brand, Mister OK's Essentials, and more. See below for some exclusive products. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet featured artists and enjoy live music by DJ Klyph of DJ Klyph Productions! Infamous Candles available at The Numz Bodega only!!! This exhibition will be open daily through March 30th, Wed-Sun, from 12-5pm with purchased entry to the museum. The Numberz is providing a very unique creator experience, by carving out a media space to empower communities of color to share their thoughts, concerns and celebrate each other. The primary purpose of The Numberz is to create media space for Black people and communities of color, in a city where gentrification has played a significant part in scattering their voices.
