The Western Museum of Mining & Industry is currently seeking volunteer Visitor Services Associates. The Visitor Services Associate is the first impression for the museum and the museum store. The position is responsible for the daily operations of all aspects of the visitor experience at the admissions/info desk and gift shop, greeting and orienting guests with a focus on providing a quality, memorable guest experience. Duties and responsibilities include directing and orienting visitors to the museum; answering phones; taking messages and providing information about museum fees, hours of operation, and events and programs; operating a cash register and credit card machine to ring in visitors and gift shop sales; and promoting and informing visitors of museum memberships and rentals. Volunteers acquire new skills, meet interesting people and experience the satisfaction of sharing their talents with others. Shifts are available. Volunteers must be 18 and older and pass a background check. If interested, please contact the museum.
