Dear Sir/Madam: This is a start-up project. Looking for a few intermediate to advanced level players who take their music very seriously, have jam experience, own high quality instruments, and are drug & alcohol free. Players who are able to explain song details, provide simple chord charts ( C Am Dm G7 ) and lead the jam without hesitation on at least 4-5 songs. First, we'll have a few simulated jams in a studio, then I'll find a pass-the-hat gig in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens. Americana is contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound that lives in a world apart from the pure forms of the genres upon which it may draw.
