Dr. Chavez will be navigating The 6 changes to make in order to thrive in times of pandemics and other health challenges. Ryan's Hunter will be informing us on how to Diagnose our own life imbalances with his Wellness Mapping Workshop. Valerie and Ryan are not only our partners in our own wellness journeys but there are friends as well and we are so happy that they’re willing to share their knowledge with us in #midlandtx Q and A to follow Each talk - Dr. Valerie Chavez is native to Texas and grew up in the city of El Paso. She earned her medical doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed Internal Medicine residency at Brackenridge Hospital here in town. She practiced as a Primary Care Physician for 8 years until her own health crisis forced her to concentrate on her wellness. Through functional medicine, which focuses on getting to the root cause of disease, she was able to recover and now runs her own functional medicine practice called Gut Mend. After observing how lifestyle changes improved his wife's health, Ryan Hunter decided to try such changes for himself. As a result, he improved his energy and resolved his allergies. Because Ryan desires to also help others live their healthiest life, he spent a year of extensive study with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and is now a certified Health Coach. With the use of positive psychology and each client's character strengths, he ensures that everyone who partners with him is more successful than they would be on their own.
