Birthday June 1, 2019 Darling Damiana! What can we say about this little Egghead? Damiana is a spitfire and ALL Bull Terrier. She has big spurts of energy followed by long crashes; but at the same time, she is a big-time lapdog, will do anything to get your attention and is very affectionate. She loves playing with her toys, going on walks (is good on leash) and belly rubs. Damiana is comfortable with people and other dogs (and has shown no aggression toward either). She likes car rides and is okay waiting in the car. Damiana knows basic commands. She is so food motivated, making training a snap. She is crate and potty trained. Damiana’s perfect home would be a family with a firm and experienced handler; who is willing to take time to harness her energy and provide her with structure and affection - in that order. Patience and consistency are a must for her to be successful. She would prefer a home with older, bigger children because she is very energetic, like most Bull Terriers, and she can be a bit mouthy. She doesn't bite but she is jumpy and leads with her mouth. We just love Damiana and think she will make an amazing family member! Damiana recently came up from Cortez Rescue, a shelter on the southern Baja in Mexico. Before leaving the rescue, she was given a full medical assessment and all her vaccines to insure she was in optimum health.There is an adoption fee of $350 (paid directly to the rescue), which includes all her vaccines, being spayed, and the cost for flying her up to Portland.
