Description

Enjoy a one and/or one-half mile walk at the Lake County Land Trust’s Rodman Preserve. See a variety of song birds, raptors, or even a coyote! This event is brought to you by LCOE Cares. Any school employee from Lake County may attend this event free of charge. Enjoy a one and/or one-half mile walk lead by local naturalists Roberta and Harry Lyons at the Lake County Land Trust’s Rodman Preserve. The walk is moderate terrain, be sure to bring good walking shoes and water. See the beautiful views while learning about California’s native bunch grasses that are prevalent at the preserve. Please note: Don’t mistake the County’s Rodman Slough Park for the Lake County Land Trust’s Rodman Preserve. After turning on the Nice-Lucerne Cut-off from Highway 29, turn left on to Westlake Rd. The Preserve is the first driveway on the left. The County Park is by the bridge and not where we are meeting. If coming on the Nice-Lucerne Cut-off from Nice or Lucerne, keep heading east, past the bridge, turn right on Westlake. The Lake County Office of Education provides services to our students, School Districts, and community to establish the best educational opportunities for the residents of Lake County.
