The Chattanooga Boys Choir is proud to present The Magic of Winter, a live, in-person music performance that will be a wonderful addition to your holiday celebration on Friday, January 7. The concert will feature all members of the Chattanooga Boys Choir’s five component choirs, as well as guests from the CSOYO Youth Orchestra, the Metropolitan Bells, and Ballet Tennessee Alumni at First Baptist Church located at 401 Gateway Avenue with programs at both 6:00 pm and 8:00pm. Following months of challenging pandemic circumstances affecting the CBC’s rehearsals and performances, the choir and guest artists are proud to present this program featuring an exciting symphonic arrangement of “Carol of the Bells,” a beautiful setting of “Hanukkah, Shalom” by Ruth Elain Schram, and a setting of the African-American spiritual “Go, Tell It on the Mountain” by Roland Carter, Professor of American Music at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. The choir will also premiere the newly commissioned work “The Magic of Winter” by renowned composer Sherry Blevins from Charlotte, North Carolina. Members of the choir have met virtually with Mrs. Blevins throughout the composition process, and they are excited to bring this new composition to life for all in attendance.
* PLEASE NOTE: All attendees will be required to wear a mask over their nose and mouth while inside the venue.
