Description

All levels welcome. Bring your mat. If cold, class will be inside and masked, otherwise outside under the heaters Kate Crowgey, Physical Therapist, Kripalu Yoga Instructor, E-RYT 500 Kate's classes employ creative sequencing, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation to allow students to explore what it means to build heat, to breathe fully, and to let go. By integrating Western anatomy and physiology with the teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda, Kate’s classes are designed to facilitate healing and holistic wellness for the mind, body, and spirit. Kate has been an avid yogini for over 15 years. In 2012, she received her 200-Hour yoga teaching certification from Yoga District in Washington, DC with training in power yoga, trauma-informed yoga, and the teachings of Dharma Mittra. In 2015, she received her 500-Hour yoga teaching certification from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. In her 500-Hour training, she proverbially dove headfirst into yoga philosophy, pranayama, and the science of Ayurveda. When she is not teaching yoga, Kate works as a doctor of physical therapy in outpatient orthopedics. She is also studying for her 1000-Hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher certification with a special interest in the study of Ayurveda. When she is not working, Kate can be found outdoors adventuring with her sweet pup, Bubba, dancing in the rain, and backpacking around the globe.
