Jan 29 2022 The Change Makers’ Rehearsal Dinner The Change Makers’ Rehearsal Dinner is a participatory social cultural intervention sponsored by QC Family Tree. Together, using art and culture as tools, we reimagine and rehearse what’s possible for our city and beyond. Once a quarter, QC Family tree will gather artists, culture bearers, and civic leaders for a time of creative praxis: action and reflection. During themed community gatherings, creatives will wrestle, imagine, and experiment with integrating creative practice and social change. The Change Makers’ Rehearsal Dinners are for creatives who want to be in conversation and community with other creative change agents. Change Makers are folks who work across disciplines (interdisciplinary) and cultural settings (intercultural) in order to make positive social change. The Change Makers’ Rehearsal Dinner provides an opportunity for Change Makers to gather, rehearse new possibilities. and make unexpected connections that generate meaningful relationships that shape community solutions which positively impact our neighborhoods and city. January 29, 2022 Topic: This time, the change makers will focus the rehearsal and exploration of Individual and Collective Healing- Healing for the common good, politicized healing: seeking to intervene and interrupt individual and collective generational trauma by sustaining practices & structures for social healing- our collective physical, emotional, spiritual, psychic, and environmental wellbeing. A healing justice framework values holistic wellbeing, integration, and connectivity for the common good. You will want to bring: water bottle, yoga mat or beach towel, an apron if you are concerned about your clothes getting paint on them, a mask. Neighborhood Based Community Development on the West Side of Charlotte, NC.  Culitvating community for the common good by creating a little village were abundance is coming to life.
