Full-time farm hand position available, now interviewing Join our farm crew for a unique job here at Morro Bay Oyster Company This is a job where we wear many hats. The Day to Day duties include working in and out of the water (wetsuit provided) with baby oysters and market size product on our 134 acre oyster farm.   At low tide you can walk on the farm and at high tide we work from our floating barge and boats as the water is up to 6ft deep. We repair and maintain gear, hand sort or mechanically sort oysters for the market, we bag product to be shipped or deliver oysters in person to our long list of fine dining customers.  We run a state of the art food facility and are looking for someone who wants to learn and contribute to a team.  This is a very hands-on job that is mostly outdoor.   Since this is a unique job, previous oyster farm experience is not required. Relevant experience may include: ability to drive a boat, ability to drive a forklift, plumbing knowledge, electrical knowledge, knowledge of tools and basic carpentry, marine biology coursework. Must have a valid driver's license, clean record, and know how to swim. Lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly is required.
