Creative Wood Products is a wood furniture manufacturer located in Oakland, CA. We create custom furniture on-site and have various departments that work together to complete each item. As we train all incoming production floor employees differently based on which department they will be a part of, duties may vary. Below you can find a general overview of duties our factory employees perform: -fit, install and secure materials on frames -use of hand tools, power tools, drills, sanders, measuring devices, etc. -some heavy lifting with the help of machinery i.e scissor lifts -examine products for defects and quality control -observe and follow all safety and health regulations -prepare final products for shipping -maintain clean and organized work stations -applying stain, sealant, gloss, to furniture both manually and mechanically -add finishing custom touches to pieces, such as knobs, pulls or custom millwork where necessary All employees on our production floor are required to wear steel-toe boots and must bring them on their first day of employment. We provide the safety glasses along with any other PPE your specific department may require.
