Press release from Stratford Library: Dec. 13, 2021 An exhibit of original oil paintings by Derby artist Michael Bonaffini is the current art exhibit at the Stratford Library. The exhibit, entitled "Nature's Beauty", is free and open to the public. Michael Bonaffini focuses on personal and commissioned oil-based landscape and home paintings. When faced with a health challenge that changed the course of his life, he began his painting journey inspired by the beauty of nature that is all around. As Bonaffini says, "From the adversity I faced in my life was birthed a new love and talent for painting. During my years of dialysis, I found a passion for painting. In addition to helping me through long hours of rest, illness and the inability to work, I realized how much peace it gave me to put my inspirations on canvas. When I was sick, this was my escape." Viewing hours for "Nature's Beauty" are: Monday-Thursday: 10-8, Friday-Saturday: 10-5 and Sunday: 1-5 pm. The display is located in the Main Lobby of the Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford and will continue through January 31, 2022.
