About me: I'm a bassist with 40+ years experience seeking other musicians who want to perform/write/record some incredible, challenging, technically insane progressive rock - progressive metal music. I cover Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Zappa, Porcupine Tree, Rush, Genesis, ELP, Frost*, Yes and others. My bass influences are Geddy, John Myung, Sheehan, Squire, etc. - and it shows. About you: You're a musician (or band) who loves progressive/prog metal and playing/performing and maybe writing/arranging it. You are in the Chicago area (preferably the nw burbs - nothing too far out), and committed to being a great player. You actually COVER very intense crazier music (not just influenced, not just a fan, but actually perform it note for note) - stuff by Dream Theater, Liquid Tension, ELP, Rush, BTBAM, Frost*, Zappa and other technically very difficult music - and you may write this stuff, too. You have great gear, attitude and transportation. You want to be in or start a killer prog band - originals and covers. I'm your guy.
