Description
GREENWICH, CT — Flooding has been an issue in parts of Greenwich for years, but the dangers and risks associated with extreme weather events were highlighted recently when remnants of Hurricane Ida slammed into the region, bringing record amounts of rainfall.
On Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. from Glenville School, Congressman Jim Himes (D-4) and Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo will host an informative event in which the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will update the community on the Byram River Feasibility Study and discuss a project that can potentially improve flooding concerns in the area.
The event will be in-person only, and guests will be asked to maintain social distancing.
