BOULDER, CO — Boulder Valley school officials say "heightened" security is in place following reports of a suspicious person near New Vista High School Tuesday morning, the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Before classes started Tuesday, school officials received reports of a "suspicious" person standing on the campus at 700 20th Street, according to an email to parents from Boulder Valley spokesperson Randy Barber. District and school personnel found the person, whom Barber said left willingly while supervised by officials.
Barber claimed that "at no time was there a threat to our students or school," and "our school day is resuming as normal."
