Press release from Travis County Sheriff's Office: December 13, 2021 At 11:02 am on December 8, 2021, deputies responded to a check welfare call at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Cheddar Loop. JOSEPH NEAL, 36 of Austin was found deceased, with a gunshot wound. He was located inside a vehicle that was parked inside a garage. Evidence at the scene revealed the wound was not self-inflicted and the nature of the investigation changed from Deceased Person to Murder.
