NOVATO, CA — The city of Novato is readying to break ground on a major transportation project and is asking for the public's input before it moves forward. The City Council approved a conceptual design for the Novato Boulevard Improvements Project in June. Construction is expected to start mid-2022 and could take between one to two years depending on the scope of the project. We want to hear from you! The Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Novato Boulevard Improvements project is available online for review. The comment period is now open through Friday, January 14, 2022 at 3pm. The project includes a new 3-lane layout for Novato Boulevard between Diablo and Grant avenues. The city on Oct. 5 submitted an Environmental Impact Report on the project to the state.
