Boston Man Charged With Arson At White Mountains Condo Complex

CONCORD, NH — A Boston man is facing an arson charge in New Hampshire after an incident at a condo complex in Lincoln. The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office charged Mark Rosenberg, 58, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, on Monday with a single felony count of arson. He was accused of setting a fire on Thursday at the Lodge at Lincoln Station Condominium Association on Lodge Road in Lincoln. According to investigators, the case "remains ongoing." Specifics about the case were not available since the arrest warrant, affidavit, and supporting documents were sealed from the public and the press, according to superior court records. The Littleton and Carroll police departments were able to assist Lincoln police and fire departments as well as the state in locating and arresting Rosenberg, according to a news release. "Fire Marshal Toomey would like to remind our citizens that arson is not a victimless crime and that any intentionally set fire puts in motion a series of events that significantly jeopardizes both the public and our first responders' safety," the release said. "Nationwide, intentional set fires cause over 400 deaths, 1,300 injuries, and $1.3 billion dollars in direct property damage annually." Rosenberg was released on personal recognizance and is due in Grafton County Superior Court for arraignment on Dec. 30.
