Check out these events and make your plans to join us for festive fun! Healthy Desserts and Baking Substitutions by the Frazier Family Coalition Tuesday, December 14 | 6:00 p.m. | Virtual Event With all of the holiday celebrations going on, it's easy to get caught up in the hype and forget about our health. Find a happy balance by learning how to make healthier substitutions. Hosted by the Culinary Literacy Center at Parkway Central Library. Register for this free event in advance through Eventbrite » Your Gingerbread Library: Cookie Decoration and Architectural Design Tuesday, December 21 | 6:00 p.m. | In-Person Event What better way to show your love for the Free Library than re-creating your neighborhood library as a gingerbread house?! In this workshop, open to adults and families, representatives from the Philadelphia Center for Architecture and Design Education Department will present the architectural wonders of the Parkway Central Library as we decorate gingerbread replicas. Hosted by the Culinary Literacy Center at Parkway Central Library. Register for this event in advance through Eventbrite, $15 per ticket » Cobbs Creek Library Winterfest and Coat Drive Monday, December 20 | 2:00 p.m. | In-Person Event The Cobbs Creek Library will be giving away new and gently used coats and gloves while supplies last. There will also be hot chocolate, cookie decorating, and crafts. This event is free and open to the public. Winter Festival Thursday, December 23 | 4:00 p.m. | In-Person Event Join the Haddington Library for holiday crafts, wintertime snacks, and fun! This event is free and open to the public. Kwanzaa Celebration Tuesday, December 28 | 4:00 p.m. | Virtual Event The Greater Olney Library will be celebrating the culture of Kwanzaa with a craft activity live on Facebook and Instagram. This event is free and open to the public. And don't forget, for the next two Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m., the Free Library will be in attendance at the Philadelphia Christmas Village for festive storytimes, so make your plans to join us as you finish your holiday shopping and try the tasty treats the village has to offer!
