ELMHURST, IL — In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of drug possession, eluding an officer, DUI and driving violations. Here is information from Elmhurst police reports: Drug possession Nathan Gurecki, 21, of Elmhurst, was arrested Friday at North and York on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, speeding, expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Ramon H. Perez, 49, of Villa Park, was arrested at 2 p.m. Saturday at North and Maple on charges of possession of a controlled substance, DUI (drugs), possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Perez was found with heroin and a straw containing suspected heroin. Eluding an officer Marion Hampton, 24, of Joliet, was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday at Route 83 and Roosevelt on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer, speeding, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Hampton sped away when an officer tried to stop him. He was later found and placed under arrest. DUI Jessica Bacon, 25, of Park Ridge, was arrested about 8 p.m. Friday at Lake and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving too fast for conditions. She was released on bond. Jalen A. Horton, 27, of Oak Park, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and Riverside on charges of DUI, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and possession of open alcohol. He was released on bond. Kevin T. Johnson, 58, of Downers Grove, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at Roosevelt and Butterfield on charges of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on bond. Ivan Martinez, 35, of Arlington Heights, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Friday at North and Myrtle on charges of DUI and parking in the roadway. He was released on bond. According to a police report, he was found sleeping behind the wheel. Driving violations Gilberto Hernandez, 19, of Park Forest, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Lake and Route 83 on charges of no valid driver's license, no rear registration plate and tinted windows. He was released on bond.Pedro Munoz, 23, of Chicago, was cited about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Industrial on charges of failure to give information after an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on bond. Justin Freeman, 31, of Bellwood, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Friday at York and Roosevelt on charges of no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. He was released on bond. John L. Calhoun, 30, of Chicago, was cited shortly before midnight Friday at Spring and Butterfield on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant and on charges of driving with a suspended license, following too closely and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt.
