Description
Press release from Robbinsdale Area Schools: 2021-12-13 As a result of families opting out of district bus transportation for the rest of the school year, we are rerouting many of our buses beginning Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. This means many of our students will have changes in their transportation to and from school. During winter break, families will receive new transportation postcards in the mail to your address on record. Please contact our enrollment center at 763-504-8080 if you need to update your address. These postcards will be similar to the ones you received before school began in the fall that includes important bus stop and route information. Postcards will be mailed out on Dec. 16. Please look for these postcards (yellow or pink in color) in the mail during winter break. While every family will be getting a postcard, there will be some bus routes that still do not have a driver. We have made significant progress on hiring and training drivers but we are still short-staffed. If we are not yet able to provide busing to and from school for your student after we complete the rerouting, you will receive a letter in the mail with additional information. Your student's bus stop and route information will be important for you to know and keep. If you have questions after receiving the postcard, please email [email protected] or call 763-504-8179 and a staff member will respond to your message as soon as possible. When emailing the Transportation Department, please include your student's name and school they attend. It is also important to note that we have very few substitute drivers, so routes may still be canceled if drivers call out of work. Please make sure your infinite campus contact and notification preferences are up to date and turned on. Additional information can be found on our technology web page. Thank you for your flexibility, patience and understanding as we work to find solutions to the ongoing bus driver shortage. This press release was produced by Robbinsdale Area Schools.
