BEVERLY HILLS, CA —Reality show star and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner took to Instagram Monday to blast the Beverly Hills Hotel for refusing Jenner a table at the hotel's Polo Lounge because Jenner's ripped jeans went against the restaurant's dress code.
On Instagram, Jenner posted a photo of the jeans, which the website Page Six described as having " a horizontal tear as part of the design, rather than an accidental tear. "
In her message, Jenner wrote: "Beverly Hills Hotel, F--- your horrible service for not letting me have lunch with this tiny rip in my jeans. Shame on you. Disgusting. I have been a patron for decades. No longer."
Jenner also tagged the hotel's parent company The Dorchester Collection in her post.
The celebrity gossip website TMZ reached out to the luxury hotel for a comment, and a representative for the Polo Lounge said the dress code is highlighted on the restaurant's website.
On the website, under the heading "What to wear," it reads: "At the Polo Lounge, we encourage you to dress for the occasion, so we ask that you refrain from wearing casual hats, ripped denim, crop tops, nightwear, swimwear and men's sleeveless shirts. After 4 p.m., we do not permit shorts, flip-flops (including Birkenstocks) or sportswear (including tracksuits). Children under 10 are exempt."
TMZ reported that the restaurant also has a "no photos" policy, but that Jenner was not prevented from taking photos with several fans.
Jenner starred on the reality show "I Am Cait" and ran unsuccessfully for California governor in the September recall election.
