SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Neranenah, formerly known as the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, kicks off Thursday evening to usher in a winter season of astounding musical performances with roots in the Jewish culture.
Through April, a variety of Grammy-nominated artists, jazz icons and regional performers will grace stages from Sandy Springs to Midtown Atlanta for the months-long concert series.
After a hiatus in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, what was once the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival, the music and culture series has been rebranded with the musical Hebrew name Neranenah, which means "to come together and sing," and returns to in-person shows.
The festival launches Thursday, Dec. 16 at the Byers Theatre at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, where the majority of the events will take place.
