Description
When it comes to automation in the production line, robotic cutting applications are pretty typical. Manufacturers can choose between using robotic oxyfuel cutting services or robotic plasma cutting for their application. Though it's not always easy to choose between one or the other, and in many cases, either option would work.
The Basics of Oxyfuel Cutting: -
In the Oxyfuel cutting process, the fuel gas (oxygen) flame heats the material before its ignition temperature; then, a powerful oxygen jet is pointed at the material. It helps in establishing a chemical reaction between the oxygen and the part to create iron oxide, also called slag, which will sit in a puddle on top of the heated area. After that, the high-voltage oxygen jet pushes the already heated area down through the bottom of the plate, completing the cutting process.
