Description
Seeking the perfect home for my beloved Chocolate Labradoodle. Born DOB is 10-07-17. He is UTD on shots, neutered, micro-chipped, and has always been a healthy boy with no medical issues (besides sometimes having yeasty ears if the hair grows too long inside). The reason why I am making this decision is that recently there has been a power shift in my pack where my other male dog has become much more alpha since he hit sexual maturity and now the two are not getting along. Their dynamic only changed very recently and there have been two fights where my Labradoodle got a bit banged up. Luckily I was able to intervene both times, so it didn't require a vet visit. My Labradoodle's personality is very sweet, silly, and laid back. He loves people and does tend to put his feet up on strangers (forgetting his manners) if he gets too excited. He almost always has a toy or ball in his mouth. He LOVES water, swimming, getting sprayed by hoses, dog pools, etc. He is all about water fun!! He has all his basic obedience and takes a lovely photo. He has a solid off-leash recall and is crate trained. He hasn't been around a lot of kids but his personality is so kind that I don't think kids would be an issue. Like most doodles, he has fairly high energy, but it's not off the walls and he does calm down quickly. This boy really loves attention and is a total people pleaser. He is not aloof at all. He is a really fun dog and I've taken him on lots of hikes. He is great with puppies and little dogs. He is really fine with any dog but alpha males have this strange bias against him. He is half lab and half standard poodle so he will need to see a groomer for a trim every few months. He doesn't shed much and his hair doesn't get too matted if he's brushed out at least once per week. In these photos, he was recently groomed and is in a shorter cut but it does grow much longer. The longer it is the more maintenance. Side Note: My lovely groomer said he's always a very good boy and well behaved! Lastly, he also is not a 'house dog' here so the only thing I can't guarantee is house training when he's turned loose. It's possible he could have a few accidents until he learns where to go. At my ranch, he sleeps inside my dog studio (which is next to my main house) in a crate. The studio has heating and AC so the dogs are always comfortable and I can view them when I'm inside from cameras. If interested, please write an email with your contact info and a bit about your living circumstance. Please be detailed about if you have kids, or other dogs, live in a house or apartment. There would need to be a contract/agreement saying if it doesn't work out, I will always take him back, for life. Pictures of your yard will be helpful (must be 6 ft fencing), and later a home check for his safety. Once approved and everything is verified there is an adoption fee of $500.00. We will hold the fee for 7 days and if you change your mind during that 7 days, we will gladly refund the adoption fee should it not work out, once he is returned. Point is, I want it to work, so I am essentially offering a trial period to make sure it is a perfect match! He is a wonderful dog and deserves an awesome home. Note: first two photos are from when he was just a year old and the rest of the pictures are super current. He a more lighter chocolate color now.
