DRUMMER AVAILABLE - to balance the universe

Hello world, my name is Rob. I'm 34 years old and new to LA from NYC. A couple years ago my friend passed away, leaving the world with one less rock drummer and thus one less source of rock drum joy in the world. To try to rebalance the universe I decided to take up that mantle and learn how to play drums. Back in May I found a rinky-dink little practice kit from a garage sale for a few bucks, pulled up a few youtube lessons, and started bangin' away. I've made some progress so far, and I'd like to start playing with other folks to keep this stone rolling. I've played bass in rock bands for years, so I'm no rookie when it comes to playing with others and playing live. My learning curve is just getting comfortable with a new instrument. I live by myself in a house in south LA and could host folks here, or I'm able drive to a practice space that has a kit. Thanks! Rob . . .
