Position Summary: Knapp Ranch is looking for an energetic, reliable individual with a passion for farming and the outdoors. The Mushroom Farm Worker will assist the mushroom team in all aspects of mushroom growing/harvesting/cleaning fruiting chambers. The mushroom farm is in a beautiful rural area about 30 minutes from Edwards up a dirt road. Employee will need a reliable all-wheel vehicle for transportation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Unload and place mushroom blocks in fruiting chamber Prep mushroom blocks for growing Harvest mushrooms and examine quality of mushrooms Trim and package mushrooms for sale Fruiting chamber cleaning and disinfecting Monitor growing conditions in chamber Delivery and pickup of mushrooms and supplies as needed Ensure overall cleanliness of the mushroom growing area Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Work Details: Position Title: Mushroom Farm Worker Reports To: Sustainability Manager Full/Part Time: Part-Time, 3 days per week Pay Range DOE: $18-$22/hour Desired Skills and Experience: Must take direction well and enjoy working independently in a small team Valid driver’s license, clean driving record Farm or agricultural experience a plus Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds Handling heavy loads Ability to stand for long periods of time Changing weather conditions in a high alpine environment Part-time employees are eligible for paid sick time.
